AI Perks curates and provides access to exclusive discounts, credits, and deals on AI tools, cloud services, and APIs to help startups and developers save money.
Does Gamma have a student discount?
No. Gamma has no student discount, but the AI Perks catalogue lists $600 in Beautiful.ai credits for building presentations without a paid Gamma plan.
Gamma does not run a student, educator or non-profit programme. Education pricing exists only as an open, unanswered request on Gamma's public feedback board, where every student and .edu request has been merged into a single thread. A Gamma team reply there was supportive, but it gave no programme, no price and no date.
Each perk card in the catalogue shows who qualifies and how to claim. AI Perks tracks more student offers than the four below, so the catalogue is the place to check before you pay for any slide tool.

What does Gamma cost in 2026?
Gamma's paid plans are billed per seat, and none of them carries a student rate. The pricing details were checked on 21 October 2026, and they are on Gamma's pricing page. Gamma's pricing page does not publicly list education or non-profit discounts, so any such deal is negotiated.
| Plan | Monthly price per seat | Monthly credits |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 400 credits at signup, no refresh |
| Plus | $9 | 1,000 |
| Pro | $18 | 4,000 |
| Ultra | $90 | 20,000 |
Pro costs $216 per seat per year on annual billing. Annual plans include the same monthly credits at a 28% discount. Business costs $40 per member per month billed annually, about $480 per seat a year, and no separate Teams plan is listed.
A student on Plus for twelve months pays 12 x $9 in total. That is a real cost for a tool you may only need before finals week.
What do you get on Gamma's Free plan?
The Free plan is the closest thing Gamma has to a student offer. Every new account starts on it with no time limit and no credit card, and it comes with 400 credits. Gamma does not offer a traditional free trial.
Free-plan credits do not refresh, but a referral earns 200 credits. A free account can hold at most 2,000 credits at once.
The Free plan generates up to 10 slides per prompt, and you can add more manually. Free users can export to PDF, PPTX, PNG and Google Slides. Plus raises the limit to 100 slides per prompt.
For a short seminar deck, that may be enough. For a long thesis defence or a lot of regenerated drafts, 400 credits can run out fast.

Why do Gamma student discount codes fail?
Search for a Gamma student code and you will find coupon aggregator pages full of them. They fail because they were never meant for general use, or never existed. Since Gamma has no student programme, there is no real code to find.
Promo codes also carry a hard limit. They can only be redeemed when you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time, meaning a move from the Free plan to a paid plan. Anyone already on a paid plan cannot apply one.
A request thread is not a published eligibility policy. If you are a school or non-profit, the advice is to email Gamma support with your organisation details and add your case to the education thread on the feedback board. Individual students should not wait on that thread.
Which free and student alternatives are in the catalogue?
Four perks in the AI Perks catalogue cover presentations and study work. The amounts below are catalogue values, and each row links to that perk's own card.
| Company | Free credits | How to get |
|---|---|---|
| Beautiful.ai | $600 | Get this perk |
| Canva | $144 | Get this perk |
| Notion | $120 | Get this perk |
| Google Gemini | $240 | Get this perk |
Total: $600 + $144 + $120 + $240 = $1,104 in free credits across four perks.
Compare that with Gamma. A full year of Pro at $216 is a cost, while these four perks add up to the total above in credits. Beautiful.ai is the direct slide-tool swap. Canva covers visual decks and posters, Notion handles notes and planning, and Google Gemini covers drafting and research.
Each card states who qualifies and how to claim, so read it before you sign up. For a wider comparison, see Free AI Credits for Students 2026: Every Program Compared.

How do you build presentations cheaper, step by step?
Step 1: Get credits via AI Perks. Open the AI Perks catalogue and filter for student and education perk cards. Start with the $600 Beautiful.ai card, since it is the closest match to what Gamma does.
Step 2: Add Canva or Notion for the rest. Use the $144 Canva card for visuals and the $120 Notion card for outlines and notes. For a Canva-specific breakdown, read Canva Pro for Students: Is It Free? The 2026 Answer.
Step 3: Use Gamma's Free plan on the side. Sign up with no card and spend the 400 credits on one or two decks. Refer a friend for 200 more if you need them.
Step 4: Upgrade only for a single push. If you do need Plus, an upgrade mid-cycle charges only the prorated difference for the remaining days. After cancelling, you keep your credits and paid features until the billing period ends. The refund window is three days, and the credit-usage threshold matters too.
FAQ
Is there a Gamma student discount code that works?
No. Gamma does not run a student, educator or non-profit programme, so codes on coupon sites were never for general use or never existed. Promo codes only apply when moving from Free to a paid plan for the first time. Check real student offers on the AI Perks catalogue.
Is Gamma free to use?
Partly. The Free plan has no time limit, needs no credit card and starts with 400 credits. Those credits do not refresh, though a referral earns 200. It generates up to 10 slides per prompt. Beyond that you pay, or you can try the $600 Beautiful.ai credits instead.
How much does Gamma cost per month?
Plus is $9 per seat per month, Pro is $18 and Ultra is $90. Business is $40 per member per month billed annually. Paid subscriptions are billed per user, so two users on monthly Pro pay double. Student-friendly alternatives are listed at getaiperks.com.
Can a school get education pricing from Gamma?
Gamma's pricing page does not list education discounts, so any deal is negotiated. The advice is to email Gamma support with your organisation details and add your case to the education thread on its feedback board. No programme, price or date has been published as a result.
What is the best free AI presentation maker for students?
It depends on the task. Gamma's Free plan covers short decks, while the $144 Canva card suits visual layouts. For a longer list by study task, see Free AI for Students 2026: Best Tools by Study Task.
Where can I find more student AI discounts?
The AI Perks catalogue tracks free credits and perks from AI companies, including student and education cards. Each card shows who qualifies and how to claim. A running list is in AI Student Discount 2026: Every Verified Offer Listed, and the full catalogue is at getaiperks.com.
