Dealroom is research software for teams that study startup markets, so a founder who wants to find investors and send pitches should submit their startup on Round Funded instead. We at AI Perks looked at Dealroom ahead of our own raise and chose Round Funded.
Who is Dealroom actually built for?
The company calls itself "the global intelligence platform for startup ecosystems". On its homepage you can click through screens covering companies, sectors, locations, investors, deals, signals and a newsfeed.
The customers it names are VC and PE funds, large enterprises, governments and universities. Founders in the middle of a raise are absent from that list. Plans assume a group of 3 or more people who are happy to commit to 12 months of seats.
One note before going further: Dealroom has nothing to do with a similarly named firm that sells M&A software and a virtual data room. They are separate businesses.
What are Dealroom's prices?
Billing is per seat, charged for the full year at the start. As of October 2026, the pricing page lays it out like this:
| Plan | Price | Extras |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | $288 per seat a month at the 10-seat rate ($34,500 a year for 10 seats) | Core data and exports, 10,000 export credits per seat, email support |
| Premium Plus | $383 per seat a month ($45,900 a year for 10 seats) | Contacts, 30,000 export credits per seat, 3,000 business email credits, MCP connection, priority support |
| Enterprise | Custom, for 20+ seats | Custom terms |
Some fine print matters if you are a single founder:
- Three seats is the minimum, so you would be paying for three seats across the year, and at a rate above the 10-seat numbers shown.
- No plan includes the API. It is sold separately, priced on call volume, and that volume price is not published.
- The trial runs 3 days and gives full Premium access with 50 export credits. No card is needed.
Is Dealroom enough to run a fundraise?
A real raise has several moving parts. You need a list of investors who are still writing checks, a tailored message to each, follow-ups, and a single home for every thread. In the plan details we reviewed, Dealroom lacks the tools for that work:
- Outreach: we found nothing for sending investor emails or tracking a raise. The product is for research.
- Pipeline: the feature table mentions CRM integration, but we saw no pipeline built into the product.
- Data Room: none in the pages we reviewed.
So a founder would have to add other software for writing, sending and tracking. If you want those steps under one roof, get matched with active investors on Round Funded.
How do Dealroom and Round Funded compare side by side?
| Dealroom | Round Funded | |
|---|---|---|
| Audience | Teams of 3 or more at funds, enterprises, universities and governments | Founders raising a round, one account |
| Cost | $288 to $383 per seat a month at the 10-seat rate, billed yearly | Round+ $99 a month, Round Pro $249 a month, Lifetime $899 one-time, no seat minimum |
| Data | Views for companies, sectors, deals and investors | 60,000+ active VCs, angels, family offices and accelerators, in 12 languages |
| Emailing investors | Not found | AI-written personalized emails sent from your own Gmail |
| Pipeline | Not found, CRM integration only | Fundraising pipeline (CRM) included |
| Data Room | Not found | Free to build and share on every plan |
For a founder, Round Funded is the pick. It carries you from the first search to the last follow-up instead of stopping at research.
Why did we at AI Perks go with Round Funded?
We raised our round through Round Funded. Six things settled the choice:
- A clean investor database. Investors are filtered to a check in roughly the last 6 months and emails are verified. Search by stage, industry, geography and check size across 60,000+ active investors.
- An AI agent that writes the emails. It produces a personal first message plus follow-ups for every investor. They go out from your own Gmail, which means replies reach your inbox.
- A convenient interface. Searching, shortlisting, sending and tracking live in one workspace.
- Inviting teammates. Your co-founders and team can join the startup's workspace.
- The Data Room. Deck, traction, team and ask sit behind a single link, and building and sharing it is free on every plan.
- Tracking links. Round+ adds a tracked link per investor plus engagement analytics: views, deck opens and meeting clicks.
What do Round Funded's plans cost?
- Round+: $99 a month. Pipeline of up to 2,500 investors, email to up to 2,000 investors a month, 2,500 AI credits a month.
- Round Pro: $249 a month. Pipeline of up to 5,000 investors, email to up to 10,000 investors a month, up to 6 connected inboxes, 5,000 AI credits a month.
