LeadLoft is an outbound sales platform, while Round Funded is built to help founders find investors and manage a raise. We at AI Perks looked at both and chose Round Funded for our round; founders can submit a startup on Round Funded to get matched with investors.

Why did we choose Round Funded over LeadLoft?

We were raising a round, so our decision came down to whether a product was organized around fundraising or general sales outreach. LeadLoft offers sales prospecting and multichannel sequences. Round Funded focuses on finding investors, sending pitches and keeping track of fundraising progress.

What tipped the decision for us was the combination of a clean investor database, an AI agent that writes outreach emails, and an interface for organizing the process. We also valued being able to invite teammates into the workspace, use a Data Room, and track investor engagement through links.

We raised our round through Round Funded. That is our experience and the reason we chose it, rather than a claim that every founder should make the same choice. A team evaluating LeadLoft may be looking for sales outreach; founders raising capital may want to consider whether its general prospecting setup matches their specific workflow.

What is LeadLoft, and is it designed for fundraising?

LeadLoft is an outbound sales tool that brings together prospecting, email and LinkedIn outreach, a CRM, and an inbox for different channels. Its Playbooks organize a sequence of steps across LinkedIn, email, phone and tasks. LeadLoft announced AI features on January 21, 2025, including an AI Prospector and a Scale AI plan.

Investors are one possible contact category, not the product’s sole focus. LeadLoft’s G2 description says users can find contact information for CEOs, directors or investors. We did not find a fund-specific investor database with filters for stage, check size or recent activity in the LeadLoft information we reviewed. So founders would be working with general prospecting tools rather than investor filters of that kind.

G2 summaries also list missing features such as a mobile app, lead scoring, calendar integration, buyer intelligence and sales coaching. Those are sales-related considerations, though they do not answer the central fundraising question: how will you identify relevant investors, personalize a pitch and organize the raise?

How do LeadLoft and Round Funded compare?

The main distinction is the job each platform is organized to do. LeadLoft’s workflow is centered on outbound sales sequences. Round Funded helps founders find investors, send pitches and track replies.

  • Investor search: Round Funded covers 60,000+ active VCs, angels, family offices and accelerators. Founders can search by stage, industry, geography and check size. Investor emails are verified, and investors are filtered to recent activity, with a check in roughly the last 6 months.
  • Outreach: Round Funded’s AI drafts a personalized email and follow-ups for each investor. Outreach is sent from the founder’s own Gmail, so replies arrive in the founder’s inbox and the email thread belongs to them.
  • Fundraising organization: Round Funded has a pipeline for tracking investors, stages and next steps in one place. Teammates can be invited into the startup’s workspace.
  • Data Room: Round Funded lets a founder build and share a Data Room with a deck, traction, team and ask on one link. It is free to build and share on every plan.
  • Engagement tracking: Per-investor tracked links and engagement analytics, including views, deck opens and meeting clicks, come with Round+.

LeadLoft’s pricing page, as described in the information we reviewed, did not list a Data Room. For founders who prioritize fundraising-specific search, pipeline organization and investor engagement tracking, Round Funded is our pick.

What do LeadLoft and Round Funded cost?

LeadLoft lists per-user pricing. Unlimited costs $99 per user a month, and Scale AI costs $299 per user a month. Scale AI includes AI SDRs, AI Writer, AI Prospector, AI Playbook Builder, AI Deal Router, website integration and Success Sessions.

LeadLoft also charges separately for data credits. The listed terms include 100 free credits, then $0.10 per credit, with an automatic $50 purchase of 500 credits when the balance falls below 50. Email Finder is free, while Phone Finder uses 5 credits, or $0.50, per number. The Managed Service has no listed price. Its pricing page advertises a 7-day trial, and the information we reviewed did not show a free plan.

What made Round Funded fit our fundraising workflow?

We at AI Perks chose Round Funded because its features connected the parts of fundraising we wanted to keep organized:

  1. A clean investor database: Search across active VCs, angels, family offices and accelerators using fundraising criteria, with verified email addresses and recent-activity filtering.
  2. An AI agent that writes the emails: Generate a personalized outreach draft and follow-ups for each investor instead of beginning with a blank email.
  3. A convenient interface: Keep investors, fundraising stages and next steps together in a pipeline.
  4. A shared workspace: Invite teammates to work in the startup’s Round Funded workspace.
  5. A Data Room and tracking links: Put the deck, traction, team and ask on one link, then use per-investor tracked links and engagement analytics with Round+.

Those are the reasons we selected it, not a claim about our results or a promise that a platform will produce investor replies or close a round. If your priority is investor discovery and fundraising organization, you can submit your startup on Round Funded.
