8Raise is an investor research and fundraising tool with credit-based plans, AI features and LinkedIn outreach. Submit your startup on Round Funded to explore an alternative. We at AI Perks looked at it while choosing how to run our round, and chose Round Funded for its investor database, AI-written emails, team workspace and Data Room.

What does 8Raise do for fundraising?

8Raise presents its Fundraising Agent as a chat-based way to learn about a company, find investors, manage outreach and schedule. The company says the agent learns from a startup’s deck or website, and that it asks for confirmation before an action uses credits.

The product includes several ways to identify potential investors:

  • Search: Founders choose filters such as region, investor type, sector and keywords. Results include partner contacts with LinkedIn and email details, plus firm information such as fund size, investment stages, sectors and assets under management.
  • Lead scoring: Each lead receives a relevance score on a scale from 0 to 100.
  • Enrichment: Users can upload a list of firms as a CSV or XLSX file, or paste in firm names. A run can include up to 1,000 firms. Users choose how many investors to find at each firm, from 1 to 5, with 3 as the default, and can select LinkedIn, email and phone channels.
  • Lookalike investor search: A founder describes the round in one sentence. 8Raise identifies comparable companies and firms that funded them at a similar stage. Mapping comparable companies is free; each new firm on the resulting list costs 0.25 credits.

8Raise also offers access through Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside CSV/XLSX exports and an API. According to 8Raise, some functions, including scheduling, memory and campaign creation, are available only through its dashboard agent.

How much does 8Raise cost?

The pricing page lists four paid plans. Each comes with a monthly credit allowance:

PlanMonthly priceMonthly credits
Solo$59165
Starter$179550
Growth$5291,650
Pro$1,0593,300

One credit generally covers one investor. The charge can increase when AI research is added: Tier 1 costs 1 credit per investor, Tier 1.5 adds investor research for another 0.5 credit, and Tier 2 adds firm research for a further 0.5 credit. The additional firm-research charge is refunded if that research finds nothing. Failed or cancelled searches do not use credits.

The pricing page describes a 10% saving for quarterly billing and 20% for annual billing. Its terms page gives different figures, 15% and 30%. Because the two pages conflict, founders should confirm the discount shown at checkout.

Other plan details include:

  • Extra seats cost $20 per seat per month and use the same credit pool.
  • Plans include 100 agent messages each month. After that, every 5 messages use 1 credit.
  • Exports include a watermark on every plan other than Pro.
  • New accounts receive 10 trial credits and 25 agent messages, without a credit card.
  • Credits reset each billing cycle. Unused credits do not carry forward, become cash or qualify for a refund.

What should founders know about 8Raise’s terms?

The terms describe subscriptions as automatically renewing and billed in advance through Stripe. Cancelling prevents future charges, but does not refund the current subscription period.

8Raise’s terms also say purchases are final and non-refundable. That policy covers subscription payments, monthly credit allowances and lead lists. The terms state that a purchase means giving up statutory cooling-off rights, including the 14-day right for consumers in the EU and UK.

There is also a provision about chargebacks. According to the terms, disputing a charge for services already delivered without first contacting 8Raise is considered a material breach. An account may be suspended while a dispute remains open.

For outreach, 8Raise describes LinkedIn sequences written by its agent and reviewed by the user before they are sent. That differs from email outreach: the channel described for these sequences is LinkedIn.

How does 8Raise compare with Round Funded?

The two products use different pricing and outreach approaches. 8Raise charges from a monthly credit allowance, while Round Funded offers monthly plans and a one-time lifetime option. Round Funded pricing is $99 a month for Round+, $249 a month for Round Pro, or $899 once for Lifetime. There is no free tier; first-time accounts can try Round+ or Round Pro free for 3 days.

Round Funded covers 60,000+ active VCs, angels, family offices and accelerators. Founders can search by stage, industry, geography and check size. Investors are filtered to recent activity, with a check in roughly the last 6 months, and emails are verified.

The plans also set out specific pipeline, email and AI-credit limits:

  • Round+: Up to 2,500 investors in the pipeline, email up to 2,000 investors a month, and 2,500 AI credits a month.
  • Round Pro: Up to 5,000 investors in the pipeline, email up to 10,000 investors a month, up to 6 connected inboxes, and 5,000 AI credits a month.
  • Lifetime: Everything in Round Pro, paid once.

Round Funded sends outreach from the founder’s own Gmail, so replies arrive in the founder’s inbox and the email thread belongs to the founder. Its AI drafts a personalized outreach email and follow-ups for each investor.

A Data Room for the deck, traction, team and ask can be built and shared on every plan. Per-investor tracked links and engagement analytics, including views, deck opens and meeting clicks, are included with Round+. For founders who want a searchable investor database, Gmail-based outreach and a Data Room, Round Funded is the pick. Submit your startup on Round Funded.

Why did we choose Round Funded?

We at AI Perks raised our round through Round Funded. We chose it for the practical parts of the workflow that mattered to us:

  • A clean investor database: Search across investors by stage, industry, geography and check size.
  • AI that writes outreach: The product drafts a personalized email and follow-ups for each investor.
  • A convenient interface: The fundraising pipeline keeps investors, stages and next steps together.
  • A shared workspace: Teammates can be invited into the startup’s workspace.
  • A Data Room and tracking links: Put the deck, traction, team and ask on one link. Round+ includes per-investor tracked links and analytics for views, deck opens and meeting clicks.

We considered 8Raise, but chose Round Funded. The difference for our team was a workflow built around a pipeline, teammates, email drafted for investors and a Data Room, with flat plan pricing rather than a monthly investor-credit pool. Get matched with active investors.
